A little more about me
My work is loving the world... (thank you, Mary Oliver!)
My life's purpose is to serve as a courageous heart - calling myself and others into lives filled with purpose, passion, and possibility.
The most important thing about me? I bring a fierce belief in the individuals and teams I work with. I know that you already have the inner resources to lead with integrity, navigate complexity, and create meaningful change in your work and life. My job is to help you deepen awareness, clarify values and priorities, and take meaningful, self-directed action.
I primarily partner with leaders and teams in social justice nonprofit organizations - supporting them in strengthening their leadership, aligning with purpose, and showing up fully and skillfully in their work.
Beyond my belief in you, I bring over 20 years of nonprofit executive leadership experience to our work. I’ve led organizations, coached teams, and navigated the challenges of growing missions, boards, and people. I’m a former attorney and social justice innovator with a lifelong passion for civil justice.
As a cisgender, straight, white woman living with episodically disabling mental health conditions (including PTSD), I bring an equity lens, cultural humility, and trauma- and resiliency-informed awareness to every engagement. I’m happy to talk more about what that means in practice.
I gratefully live and work on the unceded, ancestral lands of the Ramaytush Ohlone and participate in the Yunakin Land Tax through the Association of Ramaytush Ohlone. I also commit to personal reparative practice by contributing a percentage of all coaching income to civil rights and racial justice organizations led by persons who identify as Black, Indigenous, and People of Color.
On a personal note, I’m a mom to two incredible grown daughters (and a small, exuberant dog), and I’ve shared life with my partner and spouse for over 37 years. I live in the beautiful San Francisco Bay Area, where I try to balance depth with delight. I’m a bit of a goofball, a former professional dancer, and an intense soccer fan - so fair warning: coaching with me may include metaphors, movement, and groan-worthy analogies to the beautiful game.
